Nature is Beautiful — a work that represents a key stage in the formation of the artist’s visual language and captures its initial aesthetic, prior to further reinterpretations and revisions.
The composition is built on a black background, on which pigeon droppings form the image of a branch with leaves. This piece is the only one that remains in its original form from the early stage of the series, when the artist still combined organic material with neon accents, exploring the tension between the “unacceptable” and the decorative.
In this work, the artist articulates a central thesis: the natural remains natural regardless of the material through which it is represented. Bird droppings are considered here as part of the natural cycle, rather than something separate from it.
The work also refers to the real ecological functions of pigeon droppings, which are used as a natural fertilizer in agricultural practices, as well as to the role of urban pigeons in seed dispersal and in supporting the urban ecosystem through processes of movement and the spread of vegetation.
In this context, Nature is Beautiful becomes both an aesthetic and a research-based statement, rethinking the boundaries between the “clean” and the “unclean,” the natural and the urban, the acceptable and the excluded.
