This work can be read as a primary gesture from which the artistic practice effectively begins — not as a series, but as a moment when a private action abruptly acquires the status of language.

At the center is a pigeon, shifted into a state of anthropomorphic fantasy through minimal cultural codes: sunglasses and a light summer shirt. These elements do not construct a character in a literal sense, but instead open a space of imagined autonomy — an existence in which the animal is no longer read as an object of care, but as a carrier of the projection of an “ideal life after survival.”

The background of two palm trees and a pink sunset functions as an emotionally charged stage of escape. It is not a specific location, but a generalized tropical screen onto which a notion of freedom is projected — as a state of warmth, lightness, and the disappearance of pressure from reality.

Importantly, this work is not simply the “first in a series,” but rather the first moment in which the image ceases to be accidental and begins to operate as a system. It does not illustrate intention or demonstrate a concept — on the contrary, it is precisely through it that it becomes clear that the act of painting can exist as an autonomous practice.

In retrospect, this scene reads as a point of rupture: from a personal experience of caring for a living being toward the formation of an artistic space in which that experience is given an alternative, almost mythological continuation.
