One of the first works from the Valera pigeon series.
In the painting, Valera flies carrying a cannabis leaf in his beak. He wears glasses, a headband, and a necklace referencing the recognizable visual language associated with cannabis culture. Beneath him is the word Love, while ahead of him the moon accidentally reads 4:20.

The work was created as a statement in support of the legalization of medical cannabis in Ukraine. At the time, it was more of an intuitive and slightly ironic gesture, built through the visual language of pop culture and street aesthetics. Later, the painting gained a different weight: the subject of medical cannabis stopped being an abstract discussion and became a matter of real necessity — pain relief, therapy, and support for people living within the traumatic reality of war.

Despite its playful and almost naive visual form, Valera for Legalize speaks about the right to care and relief without stigma.

The painting is presented in a heavily textured frame, hand-finished with decorative plaster. An integrated ultraviolet light system is built directly into the frame, activating three different types of paint layered throughout the work. Depending on the lighting conditions — daylight, ultraviolet light, or darkness — the painting reveals three separate visual states, transforming the image into a shifting, multi-layered environment rather than a fixed surface.
